INFORMATION FOR CLIENTS
In order to comply with the new restrictions and to keep everyone safe, Counselling and Family Service Ottawa has limited the in-person services we offer. If you are a client of the Agency and feel you need to someone in-person please call us to discuss how we can safely provide services. We are offering telephone and virtual services. We continue to take all possible measures to keep clients and employees safe.
Once the lockdown has ended we will go back to offer more in-person services along with telephone and virtual services. The measures we put in place to ensure everyone’s safety prior to this most recent lockdown are still in place. When you arrive (please do not come early) please ring the bell as the door is locked. The receptionist will ask you who your appointment is with and will then let that person know. When you come in you will be screened for Covid, be asked to use hand sanitizer and you will be given a mask to wear (unless you bring your own). Lines on the floor will indicate 2 metres distance. We ask that you make sure to stay 2 metres from other people.
Group rooms have been configured to ensure that everyone is 2 metres apart. All offices have also been arranged to allow for distancing, but as well, counsellor’s office now have plexi-glass screens. Windows are kept open to ensure that there is plenty of fresh air circulating, and all surfaces are wiped down regularly and particularly before and after a room has been used.
With your cooperation we will keep everyone healthy and safe.
If you have questions or concerns please let us know.
Thank you for your understanding.
This video was developed specifically for use in group counselling and educational sessions for men who have used abusive behaviour in relationships. The video can also be effectively used in groups for who have experienced abuse from their intimate partners, and in individual or couple counselling when issues of disrespectful behaviour need to be addressed.
